HR Seminar – Employers and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) – 3 May
The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) are effective from 25th May 2018 and apply to all personal data you hold, including that on your employees, workers, contractors and consultants.
Employers will need to make changes to the way they gather, hold and use data relating to employees, workers, contractors and consultants. One of the most significant changes for employers are concerned is the increased sanctions; breaches of the GDPR may be subject to significant fines.
The GDPR also expands rights of data subjects, to include the right to be informed and the right to be “forgotten”, and employers will need to demonstrate that employees gave their consent to the use of their data.
We are running a Seminar on the impact of GDPR on employee data which will give practical advice and guidance on what employers need to do to comply.
The seminar will take place on Thursday 3 May, 10am to 12 noon, at The North East Business and Innovation Centre, Sunderland, at a price of £90 + VAT.
To book your place please call us on 0191 516 6815, email firstname.lastname@example.org or complete the form below. If you are unable to attend the seminar but would like some help in complying with the GDPR, please let us know.
